Let’s Start Budgeting

Hello friends,

I feel like I say this every time I’m away from my blog for so long.  But I have been extremely busy with my schoolwork. I am going to write a separate blog about my academic life to keep you up to date. However, today I want to take some time to share with you a change I’ve made.  A few months ago, I decided to make a difference in my life, and that involved getting myself on a budget. Yes, you read correctly a BUDGET. Budgeting is not easy, and it is not for everyone. Let me tell you it has been quite a challenge for me to get used to, and I slowly have.

The main reason I decided to get on a budget is that I have long-term goals and to achieve them I need to start by budgeting. The first step I took in budgeting was to cancel my monthly subscription to Ipsy. I realized that the majority of cosmetics I was receiving were just taking space and I wasn’t using them. To be honest with you I was more excited about getting a makeup bag instead of the actual items. Canceling my Ipsy subscription has helped me to save an extra $10 a month, and that money goes towards my bills. $10 may not seem like much, but when you are trying to get out of debt, every dollar counts. Many of us are going through a financial change, so I decided to share my experience with you.  I look forward to reading your experience with budgeting and please feel free to share advice for other subscribers to read. We are all different people and what works for one person may not work for the other. With that being said stay tuned for more content.

Xoxo,

Terry.

Life Update

Hello friends,

I know we are a few days into a New Year, but I want to wish everyone a great year. Here is a life update on why have not been actively blogging. A lot happened in 2017 both good and bad which taught me great life lessons. To recap I lost a family member in January (2017) my family and I went through a tough time. You can imagine my grieving process has been painful. But with Gods help, I have been able to hold myself together. I lost two semesters of school (and tuition money) because I was emotionally and mentally drained. I could not focus, and I needed to take care of my well-being. Fall 2017 I return to school determined to complete (I did) the semester I had been dragging on throughout the year. I plan to be more engaging with you this year. I have a lot of good content to share with you. So stay tuned for a great year with a lot of new material!

XOXO,

Terry
