January Ipsy Glam Bag

Today I like to share with you what I got in the January Ipsy Glam Bag. So far I have been happy with the Glam Bags but to be honest, this is my favorite one so far. While I’m not too fond of the bank itself, I am ecstatic about the Items sent to me. If you do not subscribe to Ipsy, I would like to be click here for more information. For those of you who are not familiar with this subscription each month you pay $10 and receive five products including a bag. Many of us easily spend $10 on our lattes and if you are a make-up junkie like I am I highly suggest you give this subscription a try.

What came in my bag?

I received two facial masks which I am looking forward to using. These include the Loverecipe AcaiBerry mask and Loverecipe Aloe mask by Sally’s Box. I’m not familiar with this brand, but let me know if you are. Secondly, I received a ModelCo Blush cheek powder in Peach Bellini. Again this is an entirely new brand for me which is completely fine because I love to review new products and share them with you guys.  I also receive the Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream with SPF 35. The only BB cream I love is the one by the Cover Girl if you have not yet tried it I highly recommend you. Especially if you an oily t-zone it keeps you matte throughout the day. I will be giving Matchbox BB Cream a try and I will keep you posted on I feel about it.

Another great product I received is the Rimmel London Lip Conditioning Balm by Kate Moss. This product is right up my alley I am obsessed with lip balms. It is important to keep our lips moisturize throughout the year but especially during the wintertime. Lastly, another great product I received and have not yet tried is the It Cosmetics Bye-Bye under eye illumination anti-aging concealer. As you can see this month’s subscription was great, I only wish the bad would’ve been a different color and with a 2017 logo symbolizing the new year. However, other than that I look forward to future subscriptions. Let me know what you got you Glam Bag this month. I look forward to reading your comments stay safe!

Wet n Wild Costmetics Review

Hello my lovely Lifestylers,

Today I am reviewing the Wet n Wild Lip Balm Stain and Lip Liners. I recently purchased these lip products at a Rite Aid store. Wet n Wild is affordable makeup line with a wide variety of colors. Lip Stains are $2.99, and Lip Liners are .99. So far all I have tried are the lip products, but I plan to try other of their makeup products shortly.  Wet n Wild Cosmetics claims the following about their Lip Balm Stain line and Lip Liners:Acai and palm oil provide conditioning and smooth lips.Acai and palm oil provide conditioning and smooth lips.

  • Acai and palm oil provide conditioning and smooth lips.
  • Provides a protective shield to prevent feathering
  • Provides moisture to the lips with a unique cooling tingle
  • Moisture makes lips softer.
  • Winner of all You Beauty Award.

Lip Liners:

  • Rich, creamy lip defining colors
  • Smooth glide prevents color from feathering
  • Makeup artist and celebrity favorite.

I purchased three Lip Stains (Made You Pink, Nudist Colony, and Caffeine Fix) and three Lip Liners (Brandy Wine, Chestnut, and Fab Fuchsia). I love the Lip Balm Stain line it does provide moisture, and it is easy to apply. My lips instantly felt soft and smooth. Out of the three colors, I purchased my favorite is Made You Pink followed by Caffeine Fix. Pigmentation to the Lip Stains are the best but enough to provide a glimpse of color to your lips. I was unhappy with Nudist Colony it has little to non-pigment. They did not smear outside the lips. The Lip Liners have good pigmentation and do not feather outside the lips.

My favorite way to wear the Lip Stains is by first applying lip liner, and I do fill in my lips. I combine Fab Fuchsia with Made You Pink it turns into a beautiful bright summer pink. The beauty of the Lip Stains is you can have a soft color, or you can also intensify it. Nudist Colony looks great only when combined with a lip liner like Chestnut or Brandy Wine and the same goes for Caffeine Fix.

Would I purchase these products again? Yes, but not all. I would purchase Nudist Colony again because of the poor pigmentation. I will repurchase Made You Pink and Caffeine Fix. The Lip Liners I will also repurchase they inexpensive and can be worn alone or with other lip products. I recommend these products. Let me know if you do or have tried the Lip Balm Stains or Lip Liners. Till next time!

L.A. Girl Lipstick Review

Hello Lifestylers! Time for another product review. Today I am reviewing the L.A. Girls Flat Velvet Matte Lipstick. I don’t know about you, but I love Matte lip products all year round

I particularly love Matte lipsticks the most perhaps, because I have extremely oily skin. I definitely do not like lip gloss. I own a few lip glosses and that’s only because they were included in gift sets. I can honestly tell you these are products I did not do use.

I purchased the L.A. Girl lipstick on Amazon one of my favorite online stores. I fell in love with this dark color, but if you look at the pictures, it is much lighter once it is applied.

Unfortunately, this product is not long-lasting. Reapplication was necessary after a couple of hours and definitely after eating. This product is great if you do not mind reapplying it throughout the day. This product does not feel too dry on the lips, which I like. Overall, I like this matte lipstick product and do recommend it. Comment below on your favorite lipstick. Until next time.

Target Mini Haul

Today I have a mini haul to share with for you. I was at my local Target store and as usual decided to stop by the cosmetics section. I finally picked up the L’Oreal Infallible foundation everyone is raving about. I will have a review of this product shortly. As some of you may well know I have extremely oily skin, which is one of the reasons I make this purchase. I proceeded to browse through the section. I bought three makeup brushes in white and black. I mainly think the white brushes look beautiful. I was tempted to buy all of them but at the end decided not to. I will also do a review on these brushes as well soon. Please share your thoughts about these product lines.

Clinique Makeup Review

Today I like to share some product reviews that I have been loving. Earlier this year I decided to try a new Clinique face product. First let me share with you the products I was previously using. They are also from Clinique one is the Stay- Matte Sheer Pressed Powder Oil Free in the shade 03 Stay Beige. This is a great face powder that I have been using off and on for almost a year. It is claims to be an oil free product. In my experience the powder  goes on matte, but throughout the day my face starts to look shiny. I produce more oil in the T zone area of my face.  If your skin produces excess oil there is a likelihood that you will need to touch up throughout the day as well. Overall I like this product, and I suggest you use a face primer for your skin type under the makeup.

In the spring of 2015 I decided to switch from a press powder to the Even Better Compact Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in the shade 11 Honey. This is a combination of foundation and powder in one. It is lightweight full to medium coverage it can definitely be built up good for oily to combination skin. As you can see I am almost done with this product and I am going to repurchase. I do want to add that on top of this product I use the matte pressed powder to help lock the oil. This is not my everyday wear makeup. I typically use the pressed powder more frequent than not.

Lastly, another Clinique product  I use is the Perfectly Real Compact Makeup in the shade 126. This more of a translucent powder used to help touch up oily areas of the face. I typically use the powder on days when I’m running errands and I just want to be shine free. Overall, I like using Clinique makeup it does not make my skin break out, which is huge plus for me. I hope this review was helpful for you. Comment below on your favorite brand of makeup. Till next time! I will be back soon with another review.
